The MIC2251-2YD5-TR is a high-efficiency DC/DC boost switching regulator designed for low noise and EMI-sensitive applications. It operates within an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and can provide an adjustable output voltage up to 37V. The device features a typical switch current of 1.6A and achieves efficiencies exceeding 80% at low loads, with peak efficiencies reaching up to 90% at 100 mA. This regulator incorporates constant peak current control to minimize output ripple and includes EMI reduction circuitry, making it suitable for handheld battery-powered devices. The MIC2251-2 variant specifically enables dithering to further reduce EMI levels. It is stable with small ceramic capacitors and supports inductor values from 4.7 ¬µH to 22 ¬µH.
