The MIC2042-1YTS is a high-side MOSFET switch designed for power distribution applications, capable of operating within a voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V. It supports a continuous output current of up to 3A and features a maximum on-resistance of 60m,Ѷ. The device includes programmable current limiting and thermal shutdown capabilities to protect both the switch and the load from overcurrent conditions. A fault status output is available to indicate any fault conditions, such as overcurrent or thermal shutdown. The MIC2042-1YTS incorporates soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, making it suitable for applications with capacitive loads. Additionally, the output slew-rate can be adjusted using an external capacitor for more precise control during startup. The device is packaged in a 14-pin TSSOP format, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. Applications include docking stations, notebook PCs, and USB hosts, among others.
