The MIC1555/1557 IttyBitty® RC Timer/Oscillator operates within a supply voltage range of +2.7V to +18V and is capable of generating frequencies up to 5MHz. It features low current consumption, with typical shutdown mode current under 1µA for the MIC1557 and 200µA when triggered at a 3V supply. The device supports timing applications from microseconds to hours and provides a 50% duty cycle square wave output using just one resistor and one capacitor. The MIC1555 can function in both astable and monostable modes, allowing for precise control over output pulse width, while the MIC1557 is optimized for astable operation with a chip select/reset input for low power shutdown. The output has a low on-resistance of less than 15,Ѷ and exhibits excellent temperature stability of less than 0.005%/°C and supply stability of less than 0.055%/V. This product is available in a compact SOT-23-5 package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
