Microchip Technology, Inc. maXTouch Touchscreen Controller ATMXT1066TD

Description
The ATMXT1066TD touchscreen controller is aimed at display sizes up to 12.4” used in Industrial designs. This touchscreen controller brings Microchip’s unmatched Adaptive Sensing technology to the Industrial market. It enables dynamic touch classification, a feature that automatically and intelligently switches between self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance sensing to provide users a seamless transition between a finger touch and glove touch. Adaptive Sensing is also highly resistant to moisture. Proprietary differential touch sensing delivers unparalleled noise immunity ensuring superior touch performance even in harsh environments, so all touches are recognized and false touch detection's are avoided. The controller also incorporates a new self and sensor diagnostic function, which constantly monitors the integrity of the touch system. Support: off the shelf maXTouch standard modules are available to help shorten development time and reduce risk. Microchip also has a strong selection of factory trained global touch sensor module partners to help support custom touch sensor and/or touchscreen display designs. Additional Features Supports multi thick glove (5mm) touch Supports thick lenses up to 10mm glass Adaptive Sensing (Self and Mutual cap) Communication via I2C interface Supports up to 16 concurrent touches in real time with touch area reporting High voltage option via internal voltage pump to increase signal to noise ratio (SNR) Superior moisture performance Operating temperature range of -40 to +85 deg C Packages: 114-ball UFBGA / 117-ball UFBGA Comprehensive evaluation kit including touch sensor
