The AR1021-I/ML is a resistive touch screen controller from the AR1000 series by Lingto Electronic Limited. It supports both I¬=C and SPI communication protocols and operates within an industrial temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C. The device features a 10-bit touch resolution and can report touch coordinates at a rate of 140 reports per second, depending on the connected touch sensor. It is designed to work with 4-wire, 5-wire, and 8-wire analog resistive touch sensors, with a typical lead-to-lead resistance of 50-2,000Oc. Power requirements include an operating voltage of 2.5-5.0V and a standby current of 85 ¬µA at 5V. The controller incorporates a built-in drift compensation algorithm and offers 128 bytes of user EEPROM for calibration storage. Additional features include a power-saving sleep mode and various touch modes such as Off, Stream, Down, and Up. This product is suitable for applications in mobile devices, PDAs, GPS units, touch screen monitors, kiosks, media players, portable instruments, and point-of-sale terminals.
