The TIP117-BP is a PNP Darlington bipolar transistor in a TO-220AB package, designed for high-current switching applications. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of -100 V, a continuous collector current of -2 A, and a power dissipation of 2 W at 25°C. The transistor features a minimum DC current gain of 500 at -2 A collector current and a collector-emitter saturation voltage of -2.5 V at -2 A collector and -8 mA base current.
