The MJD122S is an NPN bipolar transistor in a DPAK (TO-252) package with a 2.5 x 2.5 mm footprint, designed for high-current switching applications. It features a continuous collector current rating of 5 A, a collector-emitter voltage of 100 V, and a built-in damper diode. Power dissipation is rated at 1.5 W at 25°C ambient temperature with a thermal resistance from junction to ambient of 83.3 °C/W. The device has a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 300 at 5 A collector current and a collector-emitter saturation voltage of 4.0 V at 5 A collector and 50 mA base current. The package is halogen-free, RoHS compliant, and meets UL 94 V-0 flammability standards. The MJD122S-TP variant is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 2,500 pieces per reel.
