The MIC155BM5 is a CMOS RC timer/oscillator designed for precise time delay and frequency generation. It operates within a supply voltage range of +2.7V to +18V and is available in a compact 5-pin SOT-23 package. The device can function in both astable and monostable modes, allowing for timing applications from microseconds to hours. In monostable mode, the output pulse width is controlled by an external resistor and capacitor, while in astable mode, a 50% duty cycle square wave can be generated with minimal external components. The MIC155BM5 features low power consumption, with a typical shutdown current of less than 1µA and a supply current of approximately 200µA at a 3V supply. It also offers excellent timing accuracy and stability, with less than 0.005% temperature stability and less than 0.055% supply stability. The device is rated for operation in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including precision timers, pulse generation, and micropower oscillators.
