The XR33055IDTR-F is a half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for operation in noisy industrial environments. It operates within a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V and features fault tolerance on analog bus pins up to ¬±60V, making it suitable for applications requiring robust performance. The device includes full fail-safe circuitry, ensuring a logic-high output under conditions where the inputs are open, shorted, or undriven. With a receiver input impedance of at least 120kOc, the XR33055IDTR-F allows for the connection of over 320 devices on the bus. It supports data rates up to 1 Mbps and is housed in an 8-pin NSOIC package. The transceiver also incorporates hot swap circuitry to prevent false transitions during power-up and can enter a low current shutdown mode for power savings.
