Master Bond EP62-1HTND is a two component epoxy system featuring superior temperature resistance and unsurpassed chemical resistance, especially to acids, with a long working life at ambient temperature.
Paste consistency
Long open time at room temperature
Cures at moderately elevated temperatures
Superb physical strength profile
The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 5 by weight. Upon mixing, it has a non-drip paste consistency with no flow, and the working life of 100 grams is 12-24 hours at room temperature.
There are two cure schedule options, both requiring the addition of heat: 60-70 minutes at 176-212°F [80-100°C], or 20-30 minutes at 257°F [125°C]. To obtain optimum properties, post curing at 212-302°F [100-150°C] for 3-5 hours is recommended. When cured using the optimum schedule, EP62-1HTND displays robust temperature resistance with a glass transition temperature ranging from 145-155°C. It offers excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals-particular
ly acids, as well as many bases and solvents-even at elevated temperatures.
