The MSPD2018-H50 is a sampling phase detector module designed for phase locking applications in microwave oscillators. It operates effectively at microwave frequencies up to 22 GHz and is capable of phase locking dielectric resonator oscillators (DROs) and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) with typical reference frequencies ranging from 10 to 1000 MHz. The module integrates a fast step recovery diode, coupling capacitors, and a low barrier Schottky diode pair, which together facilitate the generation of a DC output voltage at the lock point. The device features a broadband capability and requires a reference oscillator input power between 17 dBm and 27 dBm for optimal performance. It is rated for operation in a temperature range of -65¬8C to +150¬8C and can withstand soldering temperatures of up to +230¬8C for 5 seconds. The MSPD2018-H50 is available in surface mount packages, specifically the H50 variant, making it suitable for compact designs in RF applications.
