Mach III Clutch, Inc.Flexible Clutch Coupling, Heavy DutyC5H2K-STH
Mach III Clutch, Inc.
Done
Description
Operation
Friction type heavy duty clutch engages with air pressure, spring released when air is exhausted
Torque is linear in response to air pressure applied
Mounting
Set screws and customer supplied key connect the heavy duty clutch mechanism to one shaft and the coupling hub to a fully supported second shaft
Anti-rotation arm required to prevent rotation of the air housing
Heavy duty clutch mechanisms are designed for horizontal mounting. If vertical mounting is required, consult engineering for options
Note: Heavy Duty Clutch Mechanism DOES NOT support flexible coupling
Applications
Heavy duty clutch mechanisms are suitable for cycling applications connecting and disconnecting two fully supported shafts
Maximum RPM varies by model. Please consult the detail sheets (below). Consult engineering if the intended application exceeds the listed maximum RPM.
Design Features
Elastomeric element compensates for up to 3 degrees of angular misalignment and up to 0.040 parallel offset between shafts
Both heavy duty clutch mechanism and coupling bored to suit up to the maximum shown (US & Metric) to accept differing shaft sizes
Available with either high or low* coefficient friction linings for same price
Splined drive and toothed friction discs for heavy duty service
