The TA24A5 is a lockout time delay relay for HVAC systems, designed to prevent rapid compressor cycling and provide brownout protection. It operates on 24VAC with a fixed 5-minute lockout delay. The device has a surface mount style, secured with one #10 screw, and measures 50.8 mm high, 50.8 mm wide, and 30.7 mm deep. It terminates in 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) male quick connect terminals and features an encapsulated solid-state output rated for up to 1A at 60°C. Low voltage protection activates at approximately 20V for 24VAC. The relay initiates in approximately 16ms and excludes moving parts, supporting up to 100 million operations. It operates from -40°C to 70°C and withstands 95% non-condensing humidity. Dielectric breakdown is rated at ≥2000V RMS between terminals and mounting surface.
