The SJ6025R is a 25 Amp high junction temperature silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) from Littelfuse, Inc. It is designed for uni-directional switching applications, including phase control in heating systems, motor speed controls, and inrush current controllers. This SCR features a maximum junction temperature of 150°C and offers surge capability of up to 350 A at 60 Hz for half cycles. The gate trigger current ranges from 6 mA to 35 mA, with a typical trigger voltage of approximately 1.5 V.

The SJ6025R is halogen-free and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for environmentally conscious designs. It is recognized under UL 1557 as an electrically isolated semiconductor device. Typical applications include capacitive discharge systems for strobe lights, gas engine ignition, and various AC to DC applications, as well as controls for power tools and appliances.
