The PM1204 is an AC solid state switch with dual power SCR outputs, designed for optically isolated control of AC loads in industrial environments. It features zero-crossing detection to minimize transients, a maximum blocking voltage of 400 V rms, and a continuous load current of 500 mA rms. The device uses optical coupling to provide 3750 V rms isolation between control and load circuits, with a sensitivity of 5 mA for normal environments and 10 mA for high noise environments. It is available in a 6-lead DIP package with dimensions of 9.144 mm in length, 7.620 mm in width, and 3.302 mm in height. The part is UL and CSA certified, complies with VDE standards, and is classified as MSL 1 for moisture sensitivity.
The OptoMOS® line of power products uses dual power SCR outputs to produce an alternative to optocoupler and Triac circuits. These switches provide a blocking voltage of up to 800V. In addition, tightly controlled zero-cross circuitry ensures switching of AC loads without the generation of transients.
