The MSM450W6 is a delay-on-make time delay relay with 120VAC input, a fixed 50s time delay, and standard wire leads 6.0 inches (152.4 mm) long. It uses solid-state circuitry with no moving parts, offers immediate reset on power removal, and is mounted with wire leads and a removable bracket. The output is a normally open solid-state contact with a maximum steady-state load current of 0.5A at 25°C and 0.25A at 60°C. The device is totally encapsulated, operates from -20°C to 60°C, and has a dielectric breakdown of at least 2000V RMS between input and mounting surface.
The MSM replaces bi-metal type timing with reliable solid-state circuitry. There are no moving parts to arc or wear. It is a cost effective solution for OEM designers. It is available for printed circuit board mounting or surface mounting with a removable bracket and wire leads. The MSM offers immediate reset on removal of power. Operation (Delay-on-Make)The time delay begins upon application of input voltage. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed.Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.
