The MSM20.15W9 is a solid-state delay-on-make timer with a fixed 0.15s delay, designed for 24VAC input, and features standard wire leads of 9.0 inches (228.6 mm) with a mounting bracket. It operates with no moving parts, offers immediate reset upon power removal, and is fully encapsulated for protection against shock, vibration, and humidity. The output is a solid-state normally open contact with a maximum load current of 0.5A at 25°C and 0.25A at 60°C, and a voltage drop of approximately 2.5V at 0.5A. It supports an operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C and a storage range of -30°C to 85°C, with a weight of approximately 1.2 oz (34 g).
The MSM replaces bi-metal type timing with reliable solid-state circuitry. There are no moving parts to arc or wear. It is a cost effective solution for OEM designers. It is available for printed circuit board mounting or surface mounting with a removable bracket and wire leads. The MSM offers immediate reset on removal of power. Operation (Delay-on-Make)The time delay begins upon application of input voltage. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed.Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.
