The MSM10.5W6 is a delay-on-make time relay with 12VDC input, a fixed 0.5s time delay, and standard wire leads of 6.0 inches (152.4 mm). It uses solid-state circuitry with no moving parts, offers immediate reset upon power removal, and is designed for PCB or wire harness mounting. The output is a normally open solid-state contact with a maximum load current of 0.5A at 25°C and 0.25A at 60°C. The circuitry is encapsulated, with a dielectric breakdown rating of at least 2000V RMS input to mounting surface and an insulation resistance of at least 100 MΩ. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to 60°C, and the device weighs approximately 1.2 oz (34 g).
The MSM replaces bi-metal type timing with reliable solid-state circuitry. There are no moving parts to arc or wear. It is a cost effective solution for OEM designers. It is available for printed circuit board mounting or surface mounting with a removable bracket and wire leads. The MSM offers immediate reset on removal of power. Operation (Delay-on-Make)The time delay begins upon application of input voltage. The output is de-energized before and during the time delay. At the end of the time delay, the output energizes and remains energized until input voltage is removed.Reset: Removing input voltage resets the time delay and output.
