The ECS40A is a single-phase AC current sensor with a built-in toroidal current monitor, designed for overcurrent or undercurrent detection in control applications. It operates on 120VAC, detects current between 0.5A and 5A, and has a trip delay range of 0.150 to 7 seconds with a 0-second sensing delay on startup. It features a 10A, SPDT isolated relay output rated for 240VAC resistive, 1/4 hp at 125VAC, or 1/2 hp at 250VAC. The unit is encapsulated, has a surface mount design with two #6 screws, and measures 88.9 mm high, 63.5 mm wide, and 44.5 mm deep. Terminal connections are 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) male quick connects. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 60°C, and it supports 45 to 500 Hz frequency with peak detection.
