The CPC1998J is an AC solid state switch with dual SCR outputs and zero-cross turn-on circuitry, designed for low-noise switching of AC loads in industrial environments. It is packaged in an i4-PAC format with dimensions of 20.879 mm × 19.914 mm × 17.221 mm and features a Direct Copper Bond (DCB) ceramic substrate that provides 2500 V rms isolation and 0.35 °C/W junction-to-case thermal impedance. The device supports continuous load currents up to 50 A rms with a 25°C case temperature and up to 20 A rms when mounted on a 5°C/W heat sink, with an 800 V peak blocking voltage. It requires a 5 mA control current and operates with a turn-on time of less than 0.5 cycles at 60 Hz. The part is UL 508 recognized and meets EN IEC 62368-1.
The OptoMOS® line of power products uses dual power SCR outputs to produce an alternative to optocoupler and Triac circuits. These switches provide a blocking voltage of up to 800V. In addition, tightly controlled zero-cross circuitry ensures switching of AC loads without the generation of transients.
