The Littelfuse 234-P is a single-phase pump protection relay designed for 1/3 to 3 hp, 230 V ac pumps, mounted inside a Grundfos control box. It protects against dry-well, dead-head, rapid-cycling, jammed impellers, and over/undervoltage conditions, with a 3 hp @ 240 V ac (17 A max.) SPST output contact rating. Adjustable settings include dry-well sensitivity (70-90% of calibrated run power), restart delay (2-225 minutes or manual), and trip delays of 5 seconds for overcurrent and 4 seconds for dry-well. It operates from -40 °C to 70 °C, draws a maximum of 5 W, and includes an infrared link for diagnostics via the Informer tool. It meets IEC 61000-4-2, Level 2, for electrostatic discharge with 4 kV contact and 6 kV air immunity.
The PumpSaver® Plus Model 234-P protects single-phase pumps with an input voltage value of 230 V ac, an input load range of ⅓–3 hp, and an output load rating of 3 hp @ 240 V ac (17 A maximum).
