The plugs consist of a N (Normal) version according to ISO 1185, generally used for standard applications, and a S (Supplementary) version according to ISO 3731 used for additional connections. The S version can be distinguished by its white coloring and by the different order of the contacts, preventing thus an incorrect connection to the N version.
