Linde North America, Inc. R1270 (Propylene)

Description
The use of hydrocarbon refrigerants is becoming increasingly popular due to their low environmental impact and excellent thermodynamic performance. Hydrocarbon refrigerants are flammable, non-toxic, zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). Linde’s range of products includes: R600a (Isobutane) R290 (Propane) R1270 (Propylene) R1150 (Ethylene). Linde offers these hydrocarbons (pdf) both in pure forms and blends. Linde also sells these products under our TEGAN® and CARE® brands. Hydrocarbon refrigerants are flammable. Therefore refrigeration systems need to comply with minimum requirements for safety in the design, construction and installation, commissioning, inspection and maintenance. Linde strongly recommends that anyone working on systems with flammable refrigerants should be properly trained to ensure that they are competent in managing all legislative and safety aspects.
