HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon) refrigerants are the third generation of fluorine based refrigerants. There are a wide range of products to choose from including R23, R-134a, R-152a, R-404A, R-407C, R-410A, R-413A, R-417A, R-422A, R422D, R-423A, R-424A, R427A, R428A, R434A, R438A, R-507A and R-508A/B. These products are categorized to have zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and high GWP (Global Warming Potential). Therefore these products offer a more environmentally friendly alternative than CFCs and HCFCs, whilst also often providing customers with a quick and simple 'retrofit' of existing refrigeration equipment. HFC manufacturers have worked extensively on trialling and proving that the HFC alternative products are equally as good as (if not often better than) the HCFC refrigerant products they are replacing. Linde is able to offer a wide range of HFC products, in bulk, drum tank and cylinder volumes.
