12 volt spotlight with adjustable, locking magnetic base and 12 million candlepower. This unique adjustable base tilts nearly 180 degrees and rotates 360 degrees. The user pulls the spring loaded pins back, adjusts the degree or tilt or rotation, and releases the pin into one of the index holes. The spring loaded pins can also be locked out by turning the head of the fastener 1/4 turn. When the fasteners are locked out, the user can rotate and tilt the light very quickly, through the use of the extended, rear mounted handle. The user simply turns the fasteners to lock in the angle of rotation or tilt. For example, hunters mount this light to the top of the vehicle. When spotting, they can move the light quickly to follow the movement of the animal. Once the animal is identified, they will look to lock in the light and move in on foot. The military uses this base in a similar fashion, scanning the periphery for assailants, roadside bombs, etc. However, once the convoy is stopped and the shooting begins, the rotation and tilt angles are locked in, so that no amount of vehicle or artillery related vibration can alter to the angle of the spotlight or floodlight.
