This is a portable step down transformer than enables operators to power 12 Volt appliances from a wall outlet. The 12 volt appliance can be plugged directly into the cigarette plug socket on the front of the unit or connected via terminal connections in the reat of the unit. This enables the Golight spotlight or Magnalight Spotlight to work from normal wall outlet and/or direct wiring to a 110 AC circuit. You can plug in the Golight 7951, Golight 7901, Golight 5149, Golight 5167, Golight 7900 and any of the magnetic Golight Strykers (Golight 3000-M,3100-M,3067-M
,3049-M, etc) directly into the cigarette plug socket on the front of the unit. Any Magnalight spotlight with cigarette plug, rint terminals or battery clamps can be connected to this transformer as well. There are screw terminals for hard wired connections. Max amp draw for this unit is 5.5 amps, which restricts its use to halogen lights 65 watts and below. This is coil based transformer, so does not produce a "ripple." For larger amp draw
