The EPL-JH70-120 metal halide hazardous area light fixture from Magnalight is capable of illuminating an area 13,000 square feet in size. Weather proof and U.L. listed for marine use, this metal halide lamp comes attached to an aluminum rail/ladder mount bracket that allows operators to easily mount this unit to ladders, handrails, catwalks and other similar structures.. The versatile EPL-JH70-120 bracket mounted metal halide fixture from Magnalight is weatherproof and comes with an adjustable aluminum ladder/scaffold mount that makes it ideal for industrial applications, maintenance, cleaning and servicing duties, large open space hazardous work areas and any Class 1 DIV 2 Groups A,B,C,D area where ladders, scaffolding and other railings provide opportunities for mounting. This unit contains a 70 watt dual ended metal halide lamp and is capable of illuminating 13,000 square feet of work space. The 70 watt metal halide lamp produces illumination equivalent to a typical 400 watt halogen bulb while drawing only 70 watts at .58 amps. The halogen lamp runs cooler than a 400 watt halogen, resulting in an easier to handle unit and less heat in the workspace. The aluminum rail/ladder bracket can be adjusted from 26 inches to 43 inches to allow mounting to a wide variety of railings, scaffoldings or ladders. The shell, covers and sealed fittings are also made of copper-free aluminum. The lens is constructed of thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the housing contains threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. The metal halide lamp in this unit has no filament and is thus highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts. The lamp is rated at 25000+ hours of life providing longer service life than typical halogen lamps. The lamp operates with 120 VAC and is supplied with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug. This light is highly durable and produces high light output in a wide flood pattern. The lamp is mounted to an aluminum bracket with adjustable J-hook bottom bracket that enables operators to securely mount the light to any ladder or scaffolding. Lamp adjustment is via an adjustable yolk that allows the operator to adjust the lamp both vertically and horizontally. All hardware on this unit is non sparking/corrosion resistant and the included explosion proof cord is resistant to damage from chemicals and abrasion. Suggested Applications: include but are not limited to wastewater treatment plants, refinery tanks, oil and gasoline loading docks, coal pulverizing facilities, munitions storage areas, tunnel projects, utility gas plants, power plant areas, hazardous areas and mining conveyor belts.
