The Model 372 AC resistance bridge and temperature controller enables precise temperature measurement and control below 100 mK, using AC excitation as low as 10 pA with noise-rejecting circuitry and driven guards to minimize self-heating. It includes three heater outputs: 1 W sample, 10 W warm-up, and 1 W still heaters, each with PID control and shunted power transitions. Temperature zone control adjusts PID parameters for different ranges. Up to 16 channels are supported via the optional 3726 scanner. Connectivity includes Ethernet, USB, and IEEE-488.2. The unit measures 435 mm × 89 mm × 368 mm and operates on 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. It complies with Class A EMC standards under EU Directive 89/372/EEC and carries a three-year warranty.
The Model 372 AC resistance bridge and temperature controller builds on the solid foundation provided by the original Lake Shore AC resistance bridge. The Model 372 provides the best possible temperature measurement and control capabilities for dilution refrigerators (DRs) that are intended to be operated below 100 mK. The Model 372 makes it easy to perform multiple tasks that were once very difficult to perform reliably at ultra-low temperatures:
