Eccosorb MF500F is a high-temperature, magnetically loaded, machinable absorber designed for applications requiring RFI and EMI shielding. It operates effectively in frequency ranges exceeding 1 GHz and can withstand short-term exposure to temperatures up to 260¬8C (500¬8F). The material is rigid, with a density ranging from 1.6 to 4.9 g/cc, and exhibits a Shore D hardness of 85. Its tensile strength is measured at 55 MPa, and it has low water absorption of less than 0.3% over 24 hours. Eccosorb MF500F is suitable for use as absorbers, attenuators, and terminations in waveguides and coaxial lines, as well as a high-Q inductor-core material in devices like slug tuners. The product is available in various standard sizes and thicknesses, including sheets, rods, and bars, with custom sizes available upon request. Machining recommendations include the use of carbide tools and coolant during processing to achieve optimal results.
