Eccosorb SF is a thin, flexible, magnetically loaded resonant microwave absorber designed for free-space applications. It effectively reduces reflectivity in a narrow frequency band ranging from 1 to 26 GHz, achieving reflectivity of -20 dB or less at the design frequency. The material is suitable for high power applications and features low outgassing properties. The maximum service temperature is 163¬8C (325¬8F), with a power handling capacity of 0.2 W/cm¬=. It has a Shore A hardness of 73, a density range of 2.4-4.5 g/cm¬=, and tensile strength between 1.0-6.0 MPa. The elongation at break is between 20% and 100%, and the tear strength ranges from 0.2 to 2.0 N/mm. Eccosorb SF is applicable in various scenarios, including lining radar nacelles, telecommunication antennas, and metal surfaces of vehicles to minimize radar signatures. It can also be used to dampen cavity resonances in microwave modules and is available in standard sheets measuring 305 x 305 mm (12,Äù x 12,Äù) with customizable thicknesses and shapes. For optimal performance, it is recommended to bond the material to a metallic surface, and it can be supplied with a pressure-sensitive adhesive if needed.
