Eccosorb BSR/MFS is a high-loss, magnetically loaded elastomeric microwave absorber designed for frequencies ranging from 6 GHz to 35 GHz. This silicone-based material is flexible, allowing it to conform to compound curves, and is electrically non-conductive. It exhibits low outgassing properties, making it suitable for applications where reliability and performance are critical, such as in aerospace, military, and space environments. The product has a service temperature range of -40¬8C to +170¬8C and features a UL 94 V-0 flame rating. It has a hardness of over 70 Shore A, a density of 4.2 g/cc, and a tensile strength of 5.0 MPa. The material's low water absorption and high volume resistivity (2 x 10^9 ohm-cm) contribute to its durability and effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and improving signal integrity. Eccosorb BSR/MFS is available in standard sheets measuring 305 x 305 mm with various thickness options, and it can be supplied with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is recommended for use in applications such as power amplifiers, oscillators, and waveguides, where it can dampen reflections and improve the operation of microwave devices.
