The Thermocouple, Type J, 0.157", is designed for monitoring the temperature of brake pads with a maximum operating temperature of +400¬8C. It features a grounded junction and is constructed with a fibreglass insulated flat pair cable that has a stainless steel overbraid for durability. The probe has a diameter of 3.2mm and a length of 4.0mm, making it suitable for embedding into brake pads. The cable length is 1 metre, and it terminates with tail wires that have stripped ends. This thermocouple meets the standards set by IEC 60584:1 and IEC 60584:3 for wire tolerance and colour coding, respectively.
