The TOOLFLEX¬Æ Type S is a metal bellow-type coupling designed for backlash-free and torsionally stiff applications. It features a stainless steel bellow that effectively compensates for axial, radial, and angular displacements, making it suitable for various positioning drives and indexing tables. The coupling is available in twelve sizes, accommodating maximum torques up to 600 Nm. Its assembly is facilitated by clamping hubs with a radial clamping screw, ensuring no deformation of the bellow during installation. The coupling maintains fatigue endurance at high temperatures, up to 200 ¬8C, and is resistant to media influences and critical operating conditions. The Type S variant includes hubs with threads for setscrews, making it ideal for applications requiring a non-positive, backlash-free connection.
TOOLFLEX® is a torsionally stiff, flexible metal bellow coupling with a bellow from stainless steel and coupling hubs from aluminium (in size 55 and 65 as well as with type KN the coupling hubs are from steel). The metal bellow compensates perfectly for axial, radial and angular displacements. At the same time its geometric shape allows for high torsional stiffness and a low mass moment of inertia.
In addition it is resistant to media influences and critical operating conditions. For different applications and assemblies the TOOLFLEX offers various hub designs as well as two different bellow lengths. The combination of these single parts forms one type.
