The Jergens Stainless Steel Spring Plunger, part number 30891, features a single-unit construction that eliminates the need for a set screw, enhancing reliability and preventing lost springs. It is designed with a hex drive for easy insertion and conforms to TCMA dimensional standards. The plunger has a thread size of M5 x 0.8 and provides an initial force of 0.59 kg, with a final force of 1.22 kg. The body and tip are made from 303 stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. Special materials and sizes can be requested, making it suitable for various applications where consistent performance is required.
Jergens Spring Plungers, unlike conventional spring plungers, are machined in one piece. The spring is assembled from the top so that there is no need for a set screw. Our Spring Plungers do not have a set screw that can loosen or separate from the plunger body. The advantage is no lost springs and no need for “easy-out” tools. When adjusting Solid Drive, you can be sure the plunger body is turning and not a set screw.
