The D Sub Combo Connector, Receptacle, DB-5W5, part number DBMME-5W5S, is designed for mixed layouts in D-Subminiature applications. It accommodates wire gauges ranging from AWG 8 to 26 and features a contact arrangement of 5W5, which includes five empty size 8 cavities. The connector has a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC at sea level and a maximum current rating of 7.5 A for signal contacts. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -55¬8C to +150¬8C. The shell is constructed from steel with a yellow chromate finish over zinc, while the insulator is made of black thermoplastic (type PCT UL 94V-0). The connector is designed for mounting with a 4-40 clinchnut and is delivered without size 8 contacts, which must be ordered separately. The product has undergone a salt spray test for 48 hours, ensuring durability in harsh environments.
