This Revision now has 682 full-color pictures and illustrations – 125 are new or updated. Included in the 19 chapters are criteria for wire prep, soldering to terminals, crimping of stamped and formed contacts and machined contacts, insulation displacement connectors, ultrasonic welding, splicing, connectors, molding, marking, coax/biax cables, wrapping/lacing, shielding, assembly and wire-wrap terminations. 400 pages. Released October 2012. IPC/WHMA-A-620B-Spac e Space Applications Electronic Hardware Addendum to IPC/WHMA-A-620B is in final development and will be published March 2013.. When specifically required by procurement documentation, this Addendum will supplement or replace specifically identified requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620, Revision B of October 2012 by providing additional requirements to ensure the reliability of cable and wire harness assemblies that must survive the vibration and thermal cyclic environments getting to and operating in space. The Addendum will be available at no charge. The training and certification programs for Revision B are in development and targeted for release April 2013.
