The DTAV40 series defrost timers are suitable for applications where the defrost is terminated by the timer. Such as air defrost (compressor shutdown) and electric or hot gas defrost systems. It is also field adjustable for both 120 and 240 Vac circuits. Defrost initiation times can be set in 15 minute intervals via captive trippers. Defrost termination can either be set by time or if the coils are frost free they can also be set by temperature or pressure switches.
