The Multi-Function Control Display Unit (MCDU) is hardware compliant to ARINC 739A-1. The MCDU is compatible with COTS operating systems (VxWorks®, Linux, Windows® XPe, etc.) and application software. The 5.7" color AMLCD and keypad lighting can be confi gured for NVIS operation. Standard interfaces include ARINC 429, RS-422/485, Ethernet, RS-232, and USB. Additional interfaces (MIL-STD-1553) can be supported by adding PC-104/PC-104+ modules. Also available are optional video capture circuit card and application software that support up to three video inputs (NTSC, PAL, RS-170), which can be displayed on the unit. The MCDU has nonvolatile memory, Ethernet, and USB. The keypad and annunciator legends can be easily modified to custom-specific applications.
