The Electronic Countermeasure Processor Unit (ECDU) is part of a family of Cockpit Display Unit (CDU) products that are available for use on both military and commercial aircraft.
The ECDU incorporates a 3.8" color AMLCD, along with ten discrete key buttons that interact with the CDU directly and four analog key buttons that operate independent of the CDU.
The CDU functions as an interface between personnel and other electronics systems within the aircraft by reporting (displaying) or relaying information (communicating) via the communications I/Os on the CDU.
The AMLCD is a 6-bit digital input QVGA display with wide viewing angle technology and operates in temperatures of –30° C to +85° C.
The CDU bezel houses the following hardware and functionality.
- AMCLD 3.8"
- Four analog keys
- Ten discrete keys
- Keyboard PCB (17010-01)
- LED backlighting for the ten discrete keys
- USB 1.1 I/O port
- Keyboard/lighting/po
- DZUS® fasteners for securing CDU to DZUS rails
The ECDU hosts the following communication protocols.
