The TLE7368-3E is a multifunctional power supply circuit designed for automotive applications, particularly for next-generation microcontroller systems. It operates within a wide battery input voltage range of 4.5 V to 45 V and is qualified according to AEC-Q100 standards, making it suitable for automotive powertrain systems. This device features an integrated current mode Buck converter that provides a pre-regulated output of 5.5 V with a peak current capability of 2.5 A. It includes multiple low-dropout (LDO) linear regulators: LDO1 outputs 5 V with an 800 mA current limit, while LDO2 can be configured for either 3.3 V or 2.6 V with a 700 mA limit. Additionally, LDO3 is designed to control an external NPN power stage, providing outputs of 1.5 V, 1.2 V, or 1.3 V, depending on the variant. The TLE7368-3E incorporates features such as undervoltage detection, overcurrent protection, and a window watchdog circuit, ensuring reliable operation. It also supports power sequencing for controlled power-up of the outputs and includes a stand-by regulator with selectable output voltages to minimize power consumption during inactive periods. The device is packaged in a small exposed pad PG-DSO-36, facilitating efficient thermal management.
