Permatex 6 RTV Gasket Adhesive/Sealant is a single-component, room-temperature vulcanizing silicone gasket designed for creating reliable formed-in-place gaskets for mechanical assemblies. The adhesive exhibits superior adhesion and flexibility, with a tensile strength of 1.3 N/mm¬= (190 psi) and an elongation of 350%. It can withstand continuous temperatures ranging from -54 to 204¬8C (-65 to 400¬8F) and intermittent temperatures up to 260¬8C (500¬8F). The product is effective in contact with various automotive fluids, including motor oil and antifreeze, but is not recommended for use with gasoline or in pure oxygen environments. Curing time is approximately one hour to become tack-free, with full cure achieved in 24 hours, although this may vary based on temperature and humidity.
