Green premate ground housing for use with Powerpole contacts, designed for solar applications and conforming to NEC 2008 requirements for first make/last break ground. The housing accepts #10 to #14 AWG (4 to 1.5 mm²) wire and is rated for 600 V AC/DC under UL 1977 and 1,000 V AC/DC under IEC 60664. It has a current rating of 35 A at 30°C rise per CSA, a contact retention force of 25.0 lbf (111.0 N), and operates from -20°C to 105°C. The housing is made of polycarbonate with UL 94 V0 flammability rating, and is touch-safe per UL 1977 Section 10.2.
Green housings are keyed to prevent accidental mating with standard or finger proof Powerpole® housings for use in solar applications.
