The KVT Split Cable Gland (Part No. 45204) is designed for cables with connectors, accommodating sizes from M20 to M63. It features an IP54 rating and is compliant with UL Type 12 standards, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The gland is constructed from polycarbonate, which is halogen-free and silicone-free, and has a flame class of UL94-V0, indicating self-extinguishing properties. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -30¬8C to 100¬8C. This product allows for the routing of cables with and without connectors, facilitating quick installation and sealing. The design includes a slit grommet that can accommodate one to four separate grommets, enabling the routing of up to 16 lines with a single gland when using multi-hole grommets. The package includes polyamide locknuts and a sealing ring for secure installation. The KVT Split Cable Gland is particularly beneficial for applications requiring high cable density and is compatible with metric cut-outs.
KVT is a circular split frame for quick and easy installation and sealing of cables with connectors or complete cable harnesses. But also electric, pneumatic or hydraulic lines without terminals or connectors as well as corrugated conduits can be easily routed (e.g. into control panels, enclosures or machinery) and sealed with IP54 / UL Type 12.
The cable glands are easy to install. The prefabricated cable is placed into the slit grommet which is set into one of the gland halves. Depending on the size of the cable gland, one, two or four separate grommets can be installed. By using multi-hole grommets up to 16 lines can be routed with one cable gland.
Polyamide locknuts as well as a sealing ring are included in the shipment.
For routing D-Sub, DVI or PROFIBUS connectors in combination with the split cable glands KVT, special locknuts with cut-outs are required.
