The Opus A3F and A3S Wachendorff display units are cost-efficient, rugged operator control panels for use on heavy-duty vehicles and work machines that must operate outdoors in harsh conditions. They are fully equipped with an encoder, three hard and eight soft-function keys, integrated buzzer, RS232 and USB ports, and CAN bus. The A3F (full-featured) unit has analog/digital inputs, digital outputs, Ethernet and video connections for use with a camera to monitor process operations.

Display: Sunshine-readable thin film transistor (TFT) color graphic LCD.
480 x 272 pixel resolution, viewing angle ± 50°, 4.3 inch (109 mm) diagonal
screen. Light gray plastic housing with black rubber frame; glass front with
anti-reflective foil surface.
Mounting: Can be mounted in landscape mode; stand-alone or on
dashboard. To mount stand-alone, use the 4-bushing M5 of the rear panel
with the A3 adaptor cover Part #4000405. To mount on dashboard use Part
#4000406.
Keypads: Left keypad has four soft keys with white arrow symbols on a
black base with blue backlighting. Right keypad has four soft keys plus three
hard keys for "ESC","Home" and "Settings"; three status LEDs and one-
multi-color LED. Light sensor embedded in keypad automatically adjusts
backlighting to level of ambient light.
Encoder: Electromechanical with mechanical detents and push mechanism
rated for 1-million activations without electronic failure.
Processor: 32-bit, 532 MHz, I.MX35.
Memory: 128/256 MB DDR2; 512 MB / 1 GB Mass Storage;
32 kB serial EEPROM.
Operating System: Embedded Linux.
