Activator 63 is a solvent-based product formulated to promote the cure of Hernon Adhesives, consisting of heptane and isopropanol with a light yellow liquid appearance and a specific gravity of 0.75 at 25°C. It has a low viscosity, dries in 2 minutes or less, and remains active on surfaces for up to two hours after application. The product is highly flammable, with a recommended storage temperature range of 45°F to 85°F (7°C to 29°C), and must not be used in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems or with chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials. Surfaces must be clean and dry before application, and the activator must not be mixed directly with adhesive. It is incompatible with certain plastics and coatings.
