You can replace your Grass 830 and 831 hinges with our Compact 33 hinges. After reading the information below, please click on the link at the bottom of the page which will take you to the Compact 33 page.
Grass 830 hinges were for 5/8" thick doors and open 120 degrees.
Grass 831 hinges were for 3/4" doors and open 105 degrees.
GRASS DOES NOT OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE REPLACEMENT MODEL.
If you have broken Grass hinges that need replacing, you can replace them with a Compact 33 hinge and mounting plate.
The Compact 33 hinge will fit in the same 35mm cup that is drilled in the back of your door and the bore distance is exactly the same. You will need to drill two new small screw holes to accommodate the Compact 33 hinge
You will also need to order and install new mounting plates for the Compact 33 hinge. Your new mounting plate is determined by measuring your "door overlay" and matching that to the mounting plate overlay listed on the webpage.
