Description
Folding shelf support allows shelf to fold down when not in use.
Shelf will lock in place when in the horizontal (90 degree) position.
There are also two other locking positions: 80 degrees and 70 degrees.
Shelf can fold flat against the wall when not in use (0 degrees).
Shelf releases from the locked position by pressing on a lever which is positioned inside and at the end of the horizontal piece (lift up slightly on the shelf and press the release lever).
Two of these folding shelf supports will support up to a 750 lb load. when properly attached to a vertical surface. Proper attachment depends on the type of vertical surface (wood studs, masonary, etc). Proper attachment may require the use of fastener anchors, consult a fastener expert if necessary.
Available in two sizes: a small model and a large model.
Small model measurements;
The horizontal piece measures 11-3/4" long by 1-3/16" wide by 7/8" thick.
The vertical piece measures 7-7/8" tall by 3/4" wide by 7/8" thick.
It uses #10 pan or round head screws (8 per folding shelf support).
Screws are not included, but are offered for purchase during checkout.
After installation and when the shelf is folded in the down position, the gap between the bottom of the shelf and the wall it is attached to will be approximately 1".
