24 Inch Fieldgate hinge is a heavy duty strap pintle type hinge for large gates.
Hinge set is made up of an upper and a lower hinge.
The upper hinge is 24" in length overall. Built to fit a 3" thick gate. Straps wrap around both sides of the gate and are held in place with 3 carriage bolts (included).
The lower hinge is 6.5" in length overall. Built to fit a 3" thick gate. Straps wrap around both sides of the gate and are held in place with one carriage bolt (included).
Both the upper and lower hinge ride on a 3/4" diameter by 2.5" pintle.
The upper pintle through-bolts through the gate post. Fits a gate post up to 5.5" thick.
The lower pintle has a sharp pointed end which pushes into the gate post.
A hinge set includes an upper and a lower hinge and will hinge one gate.
A set of these hinges (top pivot and bottom pivot in combination) will hold up to a 140 lb. gate.
Made from steel base material and black powder coated.
Important Installation Infromation
The large 24" hinge must be installed as the top hinge.
The smaller 6.5" hinge must be installed as the bottom hinge.
The top hinge is held in place with a through-bolt, nut and square plate.
The bottom hinge is secured by a spike which is held in place by friction and gravity.
