Top quality, precision splitters for exact dividing and mixing of granular samples. Alternating fixed-width chutes deliver half of sample to each of two pans. Select models with chute openings 2.5 to 3 times larger than sample topsize to avoid bridging during separation. Jones Micro Splitters are ruggedly constructed for long service life. The stainless steel feed guide sends samples directly past chute plates and into pans, both made of hardened aluminum. Standard pans have an extended back to prevent spillage. Popular SP-171 includes four Sample Pans. Optional SPA-242 High-Volume Pans are available to use with SP-171 for larger samples. Order SP-171X for a version with all-stainless steel contact parts and three included pans. Additional pans may be ordered separately for both models for more efficient processing. Jones Precision Splitters are similar in design and quality to Micro Splitters, but feature gate-release hoppers and larger capacities. The gated hopper permits easy mixing and distribution of samples prior to splitting and requires only two pans for processing. Frames and hoppers are stainless steel, while riffle plates and pans are hardened aluminum. Pans for SP-174 are stainless steel. Models with 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2in (6.4, 9.5, or 12.7mm) chute openings are offered. Two Sample Pans are included, additional pans are available.
