General Plastics Manufacturing Co. Marine High Density Polyurethane Foam LAST-A-FOAM® TR-15 TDS

Description
LAST-A-FOAM® TR-Series Marine FRP high-density polyurethane foams are specially formulated to meet the physical property demands of the FRP-composite boat builder at a competitive price. LAST-A-FOAM® TR-Series Marine FRP foams allow boat designers to replace wood components with a top-quality, non-decaying product. This product is fully compatible with fiberglass-laminatin g production methods. Product Features and Benefits: Uniform material Grain-free material Closed-cell polyurethane Will not absorb liquid water, and is largely unaffected by solvents and paints Fiberglass laminating resins bond readily to LAST-A-FOAM® TR-Series Marine FRP Foams; no mold-release contamination to inhibit bonding Special surface treatment is available for high-density transom shapes, to allow even higher-strength bonds No strength-compromisin g glass-fiber fillers are used in TR-Series Marine FRP Foams LAST-A-FOAM® TR-Series Marine FRP Foams are made in a range of densities to allow the designer/engineer to match physical properties with structural needs. Economy is achieved by using materials matched to the stresses they are expected to encounter. Typical Application Areas: Transoms - Use 15, 20, or 24-lb per cubic foot density Stringers - Use 6-20-lb. per cubic foot density depending on structural need Seat Mounting pads, Steering Wheel mounting - Use 24-30-lb. per cubic foot density Decks, Bulkheads - Use 10-15-lb. per cubic foot, depending on laminate schedule Deck, Bulkhead Reinforcement - Use trapezoidal X-section beams in 6-lb. per cubic foot density Fish Boxes, Bait Wells, Freezer Insulation - Use 6-lb. per cubic foot density Cabinets, Doors, Seats, Walls - Use 6-10-lb. per cubic foot density Hard Points for Lifting Lugs, Cleats, Drain Ports, etc. - Use 24-30-lb. per cubic foot density I/O Motor Mounts--use 24-30 lb. per cubic foot density Special Sizes, Custom Profiles, Kitted Parts: General Plastics Manufacturing Company will manufacture CNC-machined, finished parts for production boat builders. Transoms, stringers, and other special shapes are accurately and quickly cut on our modern production machinery. We can work from CAD files in IGES-format, or digitize an existing part or flat-pattern layout to get the proper part configuration. We optimize material use for best yield, and can supply parts in kits to allow easy use in the factory. Manufacturers get top-quality high-density foam in ready-to-use form, with no wasted time or materials. We are happy to provide quotations for this service on request.
